Lure's Guide to Seafood
Certifications and Sustainability
At Lure, you’ll find only the highest-quality wild-caught and responsibly farmed seafood, sourced from MSC-certified fisheries and ASC-recognized farms. We proudly partner with trusted suppliers who carefully raise and harvest fish in pristine environments that help protect ocean ecosystems from overfishing.
Seasonality
To promote the sustainability and health of our fisheries, much of the seafood offered at Lure is only available seasonally. This allows us to serve the highest quality product while minimizing our impacts on the worlds’ ecosystems.
Local Sourcing
Our proximity to some of the world’s most abundant coastal waters allows us to showcase the very best of what’s in season. From local white sea bass and Channel Islands swordfish to California spiny lobster, halibut, sand dabs, and lingcod, these standout species make special appearances on our ever-evolving Daily Catch menus.
Health & Wellness
Eating seafood supports heart health, brain function, and overall well-being, making it a top choice for a balanced, nutrient-dense diet. Seafood is one of the best sources of lean protein, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, iodine, and selenium. The USDA and American Heart Association recommend eating seafood at least twice a week due to its health-promoting properties. And let’s not forget about oysters. Served raw or cooked, they are widely considered to be a superfood due to their nutrient density, high protein, and high amounts of essential minerals like zinc and vitamin B12.
We are excited to announce our menu is now 100% seed-oil free. Most of our fish is cooked on the plancha (or flat top griddle) with avocado oil, and finished with organic extra virgin olive oil. Our salad dressings are all house made with organic extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil. And our tartar sauce and aioli are made from scratch using avocado oil and fresh eggs.
